The work

Le Jardin de Pierres

Le Jardin de Pierres was born of woven wicker, then painted. The colours guided the placement of set crystals, glass beads, cabochons and stones. Kiln-fired enamel elements mingle among the flowers, fruit and foliage.

The composition draws on the cameos of antique jewellery. This lush vegetation continues on the back of the bag, with other combinations of motifs and colours. On the front, the clasp incorporates a painting on leather bearing the words “Le Jardin”.

The handles are sheathed in gold metallic thread; 23.5-carat gold leaf appears in touches across the decoration. The interior is lined in orange lambskin.
